Rev Chadwick Oring Anderson

When he’s not flying around the world, keeping it safe from crime, Chadwick Anderson is also a husband, a father, youth pastor, and freelance writer.

Pastor Wick has quite a background. He has worked as a Youth Pastor, writer, traveling in ministry teams, public relations, marketing and sales.  Wick has a large passion for outreach, and for evangelism to those outside the walls of the church.  In his own words, “The passion is not merely to assimilate them to the local church body, and get their names on the attendance list, but to introduce them to Christ, and in Him have their names written in the book of life.”  He recognized early on by the grace of God, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit he could be an effective minister, encourage people from all walks of life to open their hearts to Christ.  He has a particular calling to love, nurture and lead children, teenagers and their families to a more in-depth relationship and experience with Christ.  He enjoys singing, has a huge passion for music, and worshiping God through it.  He enjoys everything from the high energy youth stuff, to quiet moments with coffee and books, and pouring over the Word with minds that are receptive.

Pastor Wick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry from Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) located in Bourbonnais, Illinois.  He has traveled the Midwest in several different official and “for fun” bands and worship teams through his college days.

Pastor Wick also worked for over a year both as a worship pastor, and with the Junior/Senior High of College Church of the Nazarene, Bourbonnais, IL.  After college, he spent two years as Youth Pastor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, before relocating to Decatur in 2005 to be closer to family.

Wick and Sarah Anderson were joined in marriage on December 21st, 2002.  Wick describes Sarah as, “an amazing gift from God, partner and best friend who supports my ministry completely.”   Sarah has a degree in Elementary Education, is currently a stay at home mother of their 3 incredible children: Addison, Sophie, and Ruby.   Parenthood is leading both Chadwick and his wife into new seasons of their journey with Christ, and in serving Him in ministry together.

“See, I am making all things new.” Rev. 21:5
